Dr. Milann Mitchell

Dr. Mitchell is currently offering individual psychotherapy to adults, young adults, and older teens (16 and up).
Dr. Milann Mitchell received her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Prince Edward Island. She has completed a CPA-accredited residency program in clinical psychology with the Saskatchewan Health Authority, working in both community-based mental health and rehabilitation settings. She is currently working towards provisional registration status with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
Dr. Mitchell has clinical training and experience working with various mental health concerns such as anxiety (e.g., social anxiety, generalized anxiety), depression, trauma, and obsessive-compulsive behaviours. Dr. Mitchell has a strong training background in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), but enjoys integrating other approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She has a passion for various areas of assessment including cognitive, mental health, and neuropsychological assessment which has supported her curiosity and appreciation for the uniqueness of each individual and how their experiences have come to shape current life challenges.
Dr. Mitchell recognizes the immense value of the relationship between therapist and client and strives to cultivate an environment in which clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. She takes a collaborative approach to therapy that acknowledges the inherent strength and wisdom each individual brings. She desires to help people experience an enhanced sense of connection– within themselves, in their relationships with others, and with the world around them.
