Dr. Wendy Hawkins

Associate | Ph.D. | R.Psych.

Dr. Hawkins is currently offering individual psychotherapy to adults (18 years of age and up).

Dr. Wendy Hawkins is a registered psychologist with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Northern Illinois University.

Dr. Hawkins has extensive experience working with a vast array of mental health concerns and life difficulties including depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, addictions, relationship issues, challenges with “getting going”, specific problem behaviours, as well as other issues.  She has worked in health care for over 25 years in inpatient/hospital settings, outpatient settings, clinics, as well as in private practice.

Dr. Hawkins’ therapeutic work is informed by attachment, psychodynamic, EMDR, and cognitive models of therapy; however, she enjoys integrating techniques from a variety of different models, depending on what is most helpful and indicated in a particular moment. Ultimately, Dr. Hawkins is a firm believer that therapy must be tailored to fit each person. Research shows that the “match” between the therapist and client is extremely important to ensuring positive therapeutic outcomes. She provides a safe, nonjudgmental, respectful space that is collaborative.
