Ms. Mandy Chan received her master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Alberta and uses this lens to consider how personal and environment factors may impact an individual’ optimal function and wellness.
With nearly a decade of experience, Ms. Chan has had the privilege of working with adults from diverse backgrounds, addressing a range of needs, including depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, addiction, interpersonal relationship issues, and maladaptive coping strategies. She feels deeply connected to issues related to relationships and culture and is passionate about helping individuals develop coping skills to effectively regulate their emotions.
Ms. Chan is trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) and uses evidence-based techniques to provide tailored support. She currently offers group therapy to promote recovery and personal growth. Her approach is practical, client-centered, and trauma-informed, designed to help individuals achieve their therapeutic goals while fostering resilience and reducing feelings of isolation. As a lifelong learner, Ms. Chan is committed to ongoing personal and professional development and values collaboration, believing each person is the expert of their own experiences.
