Ms. Melinda Budge

Ms. Melinda Budge is currently offering individual psychotherapy to adults (18 years of age and up).
Ms. Budge is a registered social worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of Calgary. She has completed specialized training in somatic experiencing and intensive DBT. She is also certified in EMDR and has training in narrative therapy.
Ms. Budge has extensive experience working in both mental health and addictions, having been in the field for over 30 years. Over this time, she has had the privilege to work with diverse clients in a variety of settings including detox, inpatient/ outpatient addiction treatment, inpatient /outpatient mental health services, as well as group therapy including a DBT program. She has experience addressing a wide range of issues including all types of addictions, depression, anxiety, psychosis, borderline personality disorder, complex PTSD and PTSD. She also works with relationships issues, identity issues, and solving problem behaviours that interfere with an individual’s pursuit of their goals.
Through an attachment lens, Ms. Budge can often help the client discover underlying trauma and behaviour patterns holding them back from their true potential. She provides a client-centered, strength-based, anti oppressive, trauma-informed approach tailored to each client. Our bodies are wise and have an innate capacity for healing and through the therapeutic relationship this process can flourish.
